New in package, water pump impeller for Mercury 3.5 – 9.8 hp outboard motor applications with a drive shaft diameter of .438″.

Note: Mercury used 2 different diameter drive shafts, this listing is for the smaller, or .438″ inside diameter, impeller. If you have the larger, or .456″ inside diameter, impeller, this is not the correct impeller for your application.

We have been asked MANY times if there is a way to determine which size shaft a particular motor was built with. Unfortunately, for a time, Mercury used both diameter shafts during production so the ONLY way to determine which shaft your motor has is to drop the lower unit & measure it.

In order to get the correct impeller, you must first measure the diameter of your driveshaft. Please do not guess.
